D’Ukes return to the Half Moon for an evening of fun with a few surprises! D’Ukes are an exciting ukulele band who produce loud, electric, danceable music on very small instruments! Formed in 2009, the 7 piece band features lead singers, backing vocalists, strumming ukuleles, dazzling solos, pounding bass and exciting
percussion. The music is an eclectic mix – anything from Deep Purple to the Beach Boys – and if it’s a good song D’Ukes will take it apart, rebuild it and uke it up!
D’Ukes perform mainly at venues around London and the south of England, have performed on BBC radio and established their own annual ukulele festival, D'Ukulele. In the last 18 months, the band have ventured out of the UK into Europe for a brief tour of the Czech Republic in and around Prague, played some live events around the jubilee celebrations and the Olympics, made a TV appearance on Channel 5’s Big Brother, have sold out theatre shows in Essex and are returning to Prague this year to headline the first ever Czech Republic ukulele festival.
