GOD LOVES COWBOYS!
Here comes The BossHoss: The greatest party since John Wayne left this earth
3 years ago, 7 young men met in Berlin, Mississippi over 3 (or 8) beers and planned their future together. They were soon of one mind and, having nothing better in hand, wrote their band’s mission on a beer mat.
· it must rock
· it must be fun
· it must please the chicks
These 3 aims connect Boss, Hoss, Hank, Frank, Guss, Russ and Ernesto with the majority of the male population. The crucial difference: the Magnificent 7 had the ingenious idea of merging Country with modern pop culture. They were neither the first nor the only ones, but they were different from all the others. Their Country Trash Punk Rock is unique to them – it’s their shtick! Britney, Outcast or Burt Bacharach – nobody is safe from The BossHoss. Their own straight rock numbers are mixed with a unique party soundtrack. In their homeland they have become a cult band. Many fans just can’t live without them and hardly miss any of their gigs.
The BossHoss are a story that only pop culture can write. From a beer mat to 3 gold discs; from a first appearance in a back street bar in Berlin, Mississippi to sell-out shows in front of 8,000 fans in the same city in the space of 3 years. The people must be crazy. Absolutely. But it’s fun all the same.
The BossHoss now release their first single from the album, a remake of the punk classic “Ça Plane Pour Moi” recorded with the song’s original artist, Plastic Bertrand. Forever cool: generations of clubbers have partied to “Ça Plane Pour Moi” and although there have been many cover versions of the song, the fact that there has never been a remake together with Plastic Bertrand before comes as a great honour to The BossHoss.
In support of the new single The BossHoss will be touring the UK in May/June. Playing here at The Halfmoon on the 3rd June
