CHESNEY HAWKES

Let's start with the things that you already know. Chesney Hawkes is the son of Len "Chip" Hawkes from The Tremeloes. At just nineteen years old he appeared alongside Roger Daltrey in the film Buddy's Song, which featured one of the biggest selling songs of the 1990s, giving Chesney a global hit single.

Now for the things you probably don't know - since then he's been a successful songwriter, writing for artists as diverse as A1, Tricky, Jennifer Paige and Tears For Fears. He's also collaborated with Adan Schlessinger of Fountains Of Wayne and fridge-toting comedian Tony Hawks. He also organises an annual songwriting retreat in Iceland.

In 2001 Chesney embarked on a mini tour, which was initially scheduled to take in 5 dates. Word spread, and this tour is now approaching 600 dates. If you take into account summer radio roadshow performances, Chesney has played to close to one million people in the past decade. He's now embarking on his 2010 acoustic tour, with the Halfmoon as one of his first stops. He'll be performing songs from his latest album Another Fine Mess, as well as some of his collaborations and a few of his personal favourites
